Caren White has been gardening since she was a child. Over the years she has developed an interest in heirloom flowers and has a small but growing collection of heirloom rosebushes. Her Middlesex, NJ yard contains many types of gardens including color gardens and theme gardens. Caren is working towards accreditation as a Master Gardener (class of 2006). She serves on the Steering Committee of the RCRE Middlesex County Master Gardeners for whom she has designed and edits a newsletter. She is also a volunteer at Rutgers Gardens, the Arboretum and Public Garden on the Campus of Rutgers University. Caren’s blog, A Gardening Year, chronicles her gardens through text and photos.
