Cost of Seed vs. Sod

This is the time of year to think about fixing a really lousy lawn. Grass seed or sod is best planted in September -- Labor Day weekend is ideal. If you have to do a major renovation, the first question is whether to use seed or sod. While sod gives you almost instant lawn, most folks think it is much more expensive than seeding the lawn.
