Freezing peppers???

I have had a bumper crop of habeneros/jalapeno and anaheim peppers.... still more on the plants and it's Nov.9 in Portland, OR... amazing..
A friend suggested putting them on a cookie sheet in the deep freezer and them vacuum seal them with a food saver.... has anyone tried this? What are they like when thawed? Is there a better way to keep them?reBlogged to on Nov 10, 2007, 1:19PM
